The Cabin
Sleeps 5 | 2 bedooms | Log burner
The cabin is nestled in a private corner of our organic hill farm in the beautiful Ceiriog Valley. As you drive up the farm track you reach the private car park. After parking up, unpack your belongings and take a short walk across the field to the cabin.
A Welsh rural retreat
Entering the Cabin through the farmhouse stable door, you come into a large open-plan living area. It includes the rustic kitchen with an oak farmhouse dining table and antique church benches. There’s a log burner, a sofa and a comfy king-size bed.
The kitchen is simple but comes fully equipped with everything you’ll need to rustle up a delicious meal. It has four gas hobs, an air fryer, a selection of pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, a toaster, a whistling kettle and a large fridge. Complimentary essentials are provided including tea, coffee, sugar, seasonings, washing up liquid, cloths and tea towels. There’ll also be a fresh loaf of bread with proper butter and full fat milk waiting for you. So if you’re hungry after your journey here you can have some tasty tea and toast on arrival.
In the dining and living area there is a large hand-crafted oak dining table. It was made by a local farmer from the oak off his land and there are traditional Welsh chapel benches for seating. By the log burner is a three seater sofa and a lovely rocking chair to enjoy cosy nights by the fire.
There’s a comfy king-size bed with wool duvets and memory foam pillows within the main open plan space, so you can sit up in bed while you enjoy the warmth and glow of the fire. It’s super-cosy, especially during the winter months.
There is also a separate bedroom with a double bed on the bottom and a single top bunk bed. It’s an ideal kid’s den for the little ones.
Outside
We have a decked area which twinkles with fairy lights in the evenings. Enjoy your breakfast out on the picnic table and chairs on the decking and watch the sun rise over Brown Billy (the opposite hill). Or spend your evenings sat by the fire pit in the small garden during the warmer months. Perfect for a spot of star-gazing.
